Laser Heritage Cleaning Essex — Listed Buildings & Conservation

Laser Cleaning Service

Laser Heritage Cleaning & Restoration

Non-abrasive laser cleaning for listed buildings, historic structures, monuments, decorative stonework and heritage metalwork — approved by conservation professionals.

Heritage restoration is the most demanding application in surface cleaning. A single wrong decision — the wrong chemical, too much pressure, the wrong abrasive — can cause irreversible damage to fabric that has survived centuries. Laser cleaning is the only method that removes contamination from heritage surfaces without any physical contact, any chemical residue or any risk to the substrate beneath. It is why conservation professionals and heritage bodies increasingly specify laser cleaning for their most sensitive projects.

How It Works

The Laser Cleaning Process

Our pulsed fibre laser is calibrated to the absorption characteristics of the contaminant — pollution crust, biological growth, graffiti, old coatings or previous treatments — rather than the historic material beneath. The contaminant is vaporised layer by layer, leaving the original surface completely intact. The process can be controlled with millimetre precision, removing only what needs to be removed while preserving original tool marks, carving detail, natural patina and historic surface texture. No water, no chemicals, no abrasion — just light.
